What an honor it was to be named a 2016 Dreamers, Visionaries, and Leaders award winner!
We occasionally have little contests to see who can capture the best image of a selected subject. 12-year-old Kam had the best photo of a bee on a flower from a class session.
Our Flower Girls project is in full swing. We’ll be highlighting a student image each week. Since we’re doing different groups of girls on various schedules, it’s not too late if you know someone who wants to participate. Contact us
The image featured above was created by one of our 15-year-old students.
One thing I teach my photography students is the art of ‘seeing’. Paying attention to details. How to tell a story with their images. So we do exercises looking at different pictures, and they share what they observe in the photo, and what kind of story they see.
What story do you see in this photo?
In the May mailing for Inspire a Girl to Greatness our girls each received a packet of sunflower seeds. Seeds were graciously donated by Renee’s Garden, a heirloom and gourmet vegetable, flower, and herb seed company. The theme for the mailing was ‘kindness, and we began sending a parent newsletter in the mailings of girls under 18 years.
We’re looking forward to seeing sunflower pictures later this summer!
Hello and thank you for visiting Photography with Purpose. If you’ve been here before, you can see our site has changed…a bit drastically! We had already planned to give it a makeover this summer, but, we got hacked. Badly. Therefore, we had to ‘get on it’ to get the site back up and running.
We are still in the midst of changes, correcting, and rewriting content.
Thank you for your patience as we rebuild our site and content.
